A note about the final two images, this film was composed from January to August 2023, before generative AI was seen as a serious threat to the art world and seen more as a tool for artists to use. It was messy and ugly and no one- at least in my circles- thought it could seriously replace us as artists. Therefore, I used AI in my film as a tool to make the cyberscape futuristic and dreamy, and not as a genuine attempt to side-step real artists. After editing finished, I have never used generative AI again.

Note: this upload is compressed. Please excuse the pixellation and discoloration.

Adélaïde: Princess of Cyberspace is my largest film yet at 22 minutes long, and with over 15 staff on set.
This film was my undergraduate thesis project for Paris College of Art and Emerson College. Shot on location in Nemours, France, this was at once a passion project and an emotional burden. After a substantial amount of production problems that included the DOP and the head of sound leaving production on the morning of day one, and the corruption of the premiere timeline, the film somehow made it out half-alive.

Enjoy!
